What kind of visa do I apply for if I am going to the Philippines to marry my fiancee and then live there if I am 52 and retired?

Take a look at Visa policy of the Philippines – Wikipedia. I am in the Philippines and in the same position as you. I’m here from the U.K. on a 30 day visa automatically and I shall renew it at the end of 30 days for a further 29 days. It is my intention to apply for a 13 a Visa once we get married. There is a chance that I shall have to leave the country and re-enter after 59 days so I have a ticket to Kuala Lumpur (the cheapest ticket I could find). Re-entering starts the 59 day count all over again. You must have an exit ticket to enter the country but not necessarily back to where you came from. You need a declaration of Non impediment from your country’s embassy in order to get a marriage licence.

You can apply for a visit visa if you are planning to travel before your marriage. You can apply for a dependent visa post your marriage. A lot of documentation is required to get a Philippine visa. Alternatively, you can apply for a Singapore visa and travel to Philippines if you are planning for a short stay[less than a week and with Manila as the destination].
