It is wonderful and amazing for the following reasons; The elders are well respected in the Philippines. People will listen to your stories nod their heads even if you’ve told them that a hundred times already. Wherever you go, you don’t have to fall in queue, as the elderly’s are treated with priority.Health-wise the Philippines provides you nature. If you want to live in a cabin or a mansion in the mountain, or in a hut or a resort near the sea, or with the crowd in the city or a combination -we have it for you.The weather – most retirees can’t endure cold weather. Well, the Philippines has that warm to hot weather their bodies need.Food is never a problem. If you’re a rice, noodle, pastry or cereal eater, we got you covered. Being a tourist destination our country has adapted to different plates. We have diverse agricultural products not limited to those that are endemic to our country.Government programs – our government has programs for foreign retirees in our country. A special retirement visa is made available for them.A family – in the Philippines, if you’re a neighbor then you’re part of the family. You’re always welcome to join parties, celebrations, family gatherings and even to unpleasant circumstances. And if you need help, just ask you’ll have it.Language – even if you can’t speak English if you can express yourself in body language, you’ll survive. Communication is a Filipino skill.A word of caution though, when it comes to processing visas, our government advise that you do it yourself rather than using an agent. Also I don’t advise choosing a Filipino partner if you don’t have plan of getting married. This is mostly the cause of bad experiences of some foreign retirees who come here looking for partners. (Don’t say you’ve not been warned). The best thing, come with your spouse. Mabuhay! (Long live)

First, it's the site of a steady, economic growth given its steady gross domestic product rate since 2015. The country is also a business hotspot with various business districts in different cities. This caters to local or foreign retirees who choose to become entrepreneurs to become financially independent despite leaving their source of income. Third, the Philippines has a pleasant relationship with expatriates. With an overall pleasant and fun-loving atmosphere, Filipinos and fellow expatriates make new expatriate-retirees feel more welcome and help them adjust to their new homes. Lastly, the country is known as the Pearl of the Orient. Known for only having two seasons- the wet and dry seasons- the country feels like a "vacation" and an adventure every day. Retirees who just wish to kick back and relax would find the Philippines a fun country to retire into. With most Filipinos knowing conversational English, foreign retirees would not find it difficult to communicate. Along with the country's special resident retirees' visa (SRRV), foreign retirees would have benefits in retiring to the country. Given these, the Philippines is an ideal country to retire into.
