Very broad question. The answer will depends on many factors: which location you want to live, what lifestyle you want(size of house, kind of food and luxury, etc.), how long you expect to live, your age and health condition(as health expenses will be a factor too). And after you specify those, then research on prices of commodities, houses, etc . where you plan to live in Philippines. Then do the math and you will get your answer.

as in move and live here? if you're a westerner who is used to high standards of living, you don't need much, US$2,000/month will get you to rent a decent but not luxurious condo in either Makati or Ortigas, eat out all the time, take Uber daily, and still have enough for leisure. you'll get pretty far with the same amount if you live in the provinces. of course medical emergencies are not factored in.
