The Philippines is not a very wealthy country like Singapore, Brunei and Qatar or even not the poorest country like Burkina Faso, India and South Sudan. Our economy was the 34th largest economy in the world as of 2016 and larger than developed countries like Finland, Chile and New Zealand. Philippines is highly dependent on BPO industry, Remittances and Exporting crops and agriculture. The country of the Philippines is the one of the largest producer rice, corn, sugarcane, bananas and pineapple. Philippines is currently a lower middle income country and expected to ba a high income economy in 2019. The Philippine poverty was very extreme and almost comparable to some of African countries but now the poverty lines is decreasing since the last decades because of the effectiveness of Anti corruption. The GDP of our beloved country is increasing tremendously not just because of young population but because of growing in terms of industrial and agricultural sector. I could say that the Philippines is much more richer that Niger not just because by large GDP, GDP per capita and HDI but because of we didn't deeply suffered from poverty, we have more institutions that offer tuition fee, better infrastructure than that of Niger, more high rise than Niger, and especially the Philippines is getting more better in terms of investment than China, Indonesia and India. Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world and it's highly dependent on livestock and exporting agricultural crop like camels, goats, sheep and cattle. Niger is deeply suffering from poverty because of extreme growing population and they can't provide education, good health care and better quality of living to their large population. But even though Niger is considered as a poor country it's still one of the best economic performer in Africa. Niger is a landlocked country that's why it have a little disadvantage compared to other country like Nigeria.

You mean, how poor is Niger compared to the Philippines. Because Niger is many times poorer than the Philippines as of 2018 and the fact that Niger is much less habitable than the Philippines, which is a paradise in comparison. The GDP per capita in the PH is nearly 10,000 dollars while Niger is less than 500 dollars. The PH is an emerging economy marked with rapid economic growth and increase in quality of life and reduction of poverty during the past two decades. We have 106 million people and less than 24 million of them are living in poverty. By 2030, we will have 126 million people and only 10 million of them or less will be living in poverty. In twelve to twenty-four years, the Philippines will become a developed country with our current rate of economic progress and reduction of poverty. How about Niger, huh? With their constant droughts and famines that threaten to break their country apart? Compare to the Philippines’ tropical climate which helps keep the nation together. Because are always saturated with rain and have a giant surplus of all sorts of food products. We Filipinos can feed well more people than the number we have. The comparison that should be made is the reverse, How poor is Niger compared to the Philippines?
