Attitudes toward Atheists in PH

Please briefly explain why you feel this question should be reported.
How hard would it be for an open atheist to move to and live permanently in a third world country where atheism is heavily frowned upon, such as Philippines or Indonesia?

I have personally only been to only one very religious country. The locals asked me what church we went to, and when I told them i was only going to church for weddings, they instantly changed their behavior towards me. Apparently, because I don't regularly go to church and don't have an imaginary friend with an old book, I'm a bad immoral person. This, coming from people who believe that the only thing keeping other people on the straight and narrow, is because they are armed. Asking them, witch one of these was the cause of other people behaving, apparently the guns are for immoral, atheist, gay loving people. After this, most people would not smal talk, and only spoke the absolutely needed amount with me. I believe, that if i had said i was Muslim, jew, scientologists almost anything, they would have understood and accepted. But NOT believing, made me a bad person. Now i don't know if those specific countries are that hard on a person's beliefs or not, but if they are as bad as you give at, you add violence, shunning and exclusion to the mix, i guess that will be your experience.

It’s not hard in the areas where I lived (Southern Philippines). From time to time people want to take you to church or the mosque but i never made it a secret that I am atheist and it never went further than a few gossips and some fruitless discussions.
