Why do Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines seem to attract loser white male expats?

Cashed up bogans looking for the cheap and easy lifestyle in a nutshell. To elaborate, there are several components to consider on both sides as to why this appears to be the case. I don’t claim to be any kind of expert but I have spent much time in Thailand and the Philippines, and I could only draw the same conclusion each time. Consider the countries in question – they were regarded as third world not more than a generation ago, they have large populations given the land mass and few natural resources to sustain themselves (at least in the case of the Phillipines). Technology was primitive and many things were done with manual labour. Then the white people came and were some what idolised with their advanced technology, war machines, systems for everything and good old fashioned capitalism. Furthermore, the white people all had big fancy houses, cars, servants, medicines and knowledge of the sciences. A white person never went hungry and was never left out in the cold. This would equate to wealth and when your in a country where ten people share a house space of ten square metres. This lifestyle would be highly attractive. Also another point to touch on was gender equality in the aforementioned countries – women were paid less, if they could find a job at all and this means life or death to those that may be widowed without mature children to assist with life. So now onto the cash up’d bogans – generalising again but this crowd is usually made up of “Mummy boys” they are used to get what they want without anyone challenging them. now consider the shift if gender equality in the western countries, women are far more liberated and the traditional idea of “find a husband and be a good house” has been abolished (rightly so). so instead of many ladies sticking with their cashed up bogan husbands whom put themselves first above all others. They leave them and cashed up bogan does not have the personality to attract another lady. Then they hear of this magical far away place from Tony down the road and he goes on to explain how he just enjoyed a 5 star holiday on a 1 star budget and how the women throw themselves at you negging for your attention in the hope they may acquire a foreigner husband and either leave their poor country or live a life a luxury forever (you know, because all white people are rich…). Now, don’t get me wrong – there are many faithful husbands whom treat their wives like queens. This inadvertently leads to the ladies wanting to replicate that scenario but not everyone is so lucky. Another small factor to consider is that the Phillipines has adopted many, many aspects of westerner life – they are mostly catholic for example. This makes it much easier for Mr cashed up bogan to exist in that country I hope that can answer your question, apologies part of it turned into a rant

Culturally less outspoken women. Lot of those women are really gracile and nice looking. Socio economic advantage for the first world countries guy. Beside those define loser expat please. You have two groups and they are not the same. People who can be called expat, group A those are generally not losers (high skilled worker or entepreneur) who live oversea and the sexpat/guy who travel there to find a wife group B. You have all walk of life, some more or less tortuous. Real losers are rare in the expat community, men with a lot of issues are more common in the group B, who travel there with a lot of fantasy in mind. And shocking news, beside the stereotype of the old white dude here, there is also a really bigger part of richer asian men ( Hong Kong, japanese, Korean or chinese) who also go hunting on these countries. You can put them in group B. Actually you may have maybe more of them than white dude as they are closer but yeah that less obvious than the white dude with a young asian. The young ladies may actually be better off with the westerner as the asian lads do not have a very enlighten mind ( they really want an obedient wife and can treat them really poorly). You want another revolting things ? All the prostitue in the touristic area, they generally start in their district serving the locals and eventually move to serve the expatriate. The biggest revenue generation on those trade is still local and was present to serve the local Thai men.
