You mean arriving in The Philippine and getting a tourist visa stamped in your passport, then 30 days later doing a day/night trip to Hong Kong so that when you get back to Manila you get another 30 days? Yes, if that’s a visa run, I’ve done that. But was it a cynical decision. To try to unlawfully extend my stay? Absolutely not – although I guess some people may look at it that way.

Be detailed. What country you intent to stay longer? What countries you intent to do the run. Ones may do maybe ONE TIME RUN not over and over again. ASEAN COUNTRIES immigration are fully aware of this trick and reserve the right to deny entry to foreigners doing this trick to stay almost permanently.
