There are a lot of problems in the Philippines: Corruption in the governmentDrug problemsPoverty among a large number in the Philippine populationRebel groupsInsufficient support on some sectors like education and health careEJK (extra judicial killing)Historical issuesThe examples cited above are some of the many issues that has been passed down from administration to administration and they may also be the reason why there are much crime in the Philippines it is even stronger when there is motive and desire that leads to compromising the welfare of a fellowman or men.

Answer: No. Crime Rate Index of the Philippines is 41.09 almost the same as New Zealand and Thailand at 40.89 and 41.29 respectively. The US -46.73, Russia-41.7, France-46.45 and UK-43.64 have higher crime rates. The highest crime rate index is Venezuela at 84.49 followed by Papua New Guinea 81.93 and South Africa at 77.49. The lowest crime rate index is Qatar at 12 followed by UAE at 15.52 and Japan at 15.91.
