A very simple answer: Everything that does not have a fixed price like in supermarkets and most of the malls as well as metered taxi. For the rest, wet market, real estate, construction, lawyer, loans, vendor, insurance, etc etc they will always take advantage if they re not too shy to do so. This is not typically Filipino behaviors at all, it s like this in every country that does not have laws about it. And you can always try to bargain. In the other hand i haven t seen different prices for locals and foreigners like in Thailand, for exemple, hotel, there is a reception desk for locals and one for foreigners, the difference can reach 10 times or more, same applies to theme parks etc etc In France it s illegal, the price must be shown even in shop windows, they can not practice free prices.

the answer to that depends on who is with you. If you are a foreigner, and alone, expect to be price gouged. Though you might think it’s cheap compared to what you are use to back home, you will still pay more. If you are accompanied by a Filipino/Filipina, let that person do the haggling and save big on everything.
