Don't mess with their roosters or their Kareoke LoL. You could get literally get stabbed over a scrawny rooster.

Never insult a Filipino man in public, in front of his friends, or definitely not in front of his family: not only is it against the law, but you could wind up with a few bullet holes in your body. This is no exaggeration – it's for real !

Their pride has always been an issue for me. They can be thin-skinned and easily offended, but they won't tell you. It's some kind of passive-aggressive / saving-face Asian thing. Usually in dealings with foreigners, the pride problems come from innocent misunderstandings in the language gap – but it can lead to very dangerous outcomes if you are not careful.
