I use my debit card at an ATM for expenses. BPI allows withdrawals of up to P20,000 per transaction. For larger amounts, I’ve occasionally used a wire transfer service like Western Union. With a visa other than tourist you can open a local bank account and have money transferred into that. I’ve written paper checks to do that, although it takes up to four weeks for them to clear. I choose to rent here. If I ever need to bail out in a hurry I don’t want my money tied up in a house.

Use your debit card or wire yourself money. I recomend renting. But I like a house & yard. Keep your money in your Country is best. Or if there 6 months you can get a bank account & derect deposit.
