How do I close a checking account at Metrobank in Manilla, Philippines, and move the money to a checking account at Wells Fargo in Alexander City, AL?

if it is a checking account, why can you just write a check or visit/call the bank in Philippines to ask how to move the money out of the country? Likewise, why can you talk/visit the Wells Fargo rep and ask how? It is your money, why did you close it when you were there in person?

Write a check for the balance to the WF account. Easy, after you confirm that no transactions are still outstanding.
