They’ve typically never even met a foreigner and they’ve grown up with fairy tales from the Disney movies and cartoons where a WHITE knight in shining armour will arrive to sweep her off her feet, and take her away to a new and beautiful standard-of-living. Her view of you (the foreigner) is based on a fantasy and her thinking probably does not go beyond your ‘beautiful white skin”, your straight nose, your steady monthly income which is vastly higher than hers. But early in the game, she is focused on you as a ‘concept’ but not necessarily you the foreigner as a person, and individual
