Make sure that there are legal papers… That there is an agreement between you and your partner about the coownership… So if anything goes wrong you can go to court… Or you may not have to result to that… Because here in the Philippines at the barangay level… Most disputes are settled…

A foreigner cannot own property in the Philippines. You are free to buy a house for your wife, partner or any other citizen and make whatever arrangement you like, but in terms of legal ownership it will always be 100 per cent in the name of the citizen. Marriage makes no difference at all to this.
