Original question: What are the second and third largest city in the Philippines? In terms of land area, Davao City comes first (2,443.61 sq. km), second place is Puerto Princesa (2,381.02 sq. km) – also happens to be the city with the lowest population density, and the third is Zamboanga City (1,414.70 sq. km.). In terms of population, the most populated is Quezon City (pop.:2,936,116), followed by Manila (pop.: 1,780,148), and third comes Davao City (pop.:1,632,991). Depends on the parameter in question (land area, population, etc). In terms of population, Quezon City is the largest city in the country so Manila and Davao City are the second and third largest cities. In terms of land area, Pauline’s answer is correct. If metropolitan areas are in question, Metro Cebu and Davao are the third and second largest respectively (because there are only three choices).
