Is $33,000 per year before tax a good offer to move from Europe to Manila (Philippines) with visa/rent/meals provided also?

It depends on the kind of lifestyle that you are used to and your status. $1 to 2,000 monthly can already give you a comfortable middle-class life here most especially if shelter and food are free. That could already allow you to have a nice SUV, put kids in a nice private school and take some vacations once in a while. The amount will have more value if you’ll be living outside of Metro Manila. Well, if you’re single, it will be more than enough for you here even within the capital. However, if you’re used to the more expensive side of things, that would be quite challenging to live within that amount.

$33,000 (USD) or its equivalent before taxes is a good salary in the Philippines. That would likely result in about $22,000 USD equivalent after taxes (assuming Philippines taxes), which is more than enough to live on comfortably, especially considering that visa, rent and meals are also provided. A person can live comfortably on about $1,000 USD equivalent in the Philippines Provinces, and about $2,000 USD in Manila. (And that would assume that one has to pay for their own visa, rent and food.)
