Is P100,000 enough for 3-4 months in the Philippines? I am single and my family has a house there so no problem with the place to stay. Just going to stay for a few months just to relax with my family & some friends.

Hard to say, not knowing what your proclivities are. If you don’t have to pay rent, don’t drink, smoke, gamble, chase women, or have a drug problem, you should easily be able live on that for 4 months, and probably have some leftover at the end. Ask yourself if you could camp in the woods for free in the rural US, could you make $2000 last 4 months. If you answer Yes, you can make it in the Philippines. If your answer is No, then you can’t make it 4 months in the Philippines. You can for sure ‘Live Like a Local’ on that amount, while also paying rent. But us foreigners, we have student loan payments, health insurance payments, storage unit payments, and we aren’t willing to live on dried fish, rice, and soy sauce, with nightly Karaoke our only amusement. If in doubt, it’s always better to work an extra month or two in the USA so you can live like a king when you get here, than to get here and worry about money the whole time. There are few things more pathetic than a foreigner trying to live like a local, or worse yet, beg for money in front of SM Mall.

No. PHP100k is not enough for 3–4 months. Honestly, speaking of experience, always bring more cash when you’re traveling to another place. You’ll never know when inflation strikes.
