I would recommend somewhere in the middle, because it is very beautiful there. But consider religion, too. The northern part of the country is Catholic while the southern part of the country is Muslim. You may find yourself more welcome in one part of the country than the other.

There are many factors to consider when you choose a location to build a house. First, is it near a volcano?Second, is it near a river that swells during floods or the rainy season?Third, is it NPA or communist infested?Fourth, are there drug addicts in the area?Fifth, is it near a red light district?Sixth, how far is it from the market?Seventh, is it near your church?Eight, how warm is it in summer?Ninth. are there good neighbors?Tenth, are there flash floods?Eleventh, are there land slides? There are other factors. If you were family, you should consider how far it is from schools and colleges. Also, traffic can be a serious problem. If you were elderly, you should consider the quality and cost of hospital services. Bacolod City is considered to be the most livable city in the Philippines. I highly recommend the place.
