hello there , great question you had ,since I am living here in Bacolod but specifically here in Silay, I say you must visit Silay City,its 20–30minutes drive from Bacolod.Here, where you can see old houses that is well preserved by the owners , small City but has 5 museums. And you can also visit , Patag mountain where there is a hidden sea between the two mountains, known as (TINAGONG DAGAT). Its lesser-known because they taught its just a plain, small city . Which is there is more in here. Enjoy!

Bacolod is a small city with around 500,000 inhabitants. Places that are well known are probably those that you have heard of already like the new government center, kilometer 0 known as lagoon where the very historical provincial capitol is located in front of a beatiful lagoon where people of all races walk or jog in the morning or afternoon. Bacolod plaza could be a joy to visit known for its wide gazebo that has hosted a lot of public shows. Across the street is the centennial old church built from corrals and eggwhites The not so famous places of interest are Pope John Paul 5 story tower where the memorabilia of his last visit are kept. Not so famous places that deserves to visit is the Association of Negros Producers building near lagoon park which showcase the exportable products of local entrepreneurs, the manokan country where one can find delectable chicken inasal and oysters are eaten with bare hands, Aboys restaurant for native cuisines, konting kuskus and the palapala restaurants for fresh sea foods dishes. Another not so famous area of interest is the Bacolod Golden field complex known as the night life of the city where the casino, bowling centers, disco and karaoke pubs are located. For mouth watering quality cakes and pastries one could always visit Calea in front of tge 3star- L’Fisher Hotel beside the LSea restaurant which is a home of sumptous chinese cuisines. Bacolod is synonimous with good and affordable food and is catching up with other famous cities in the Philippines other than being declared as one of the most safest and livable cities in the country. Visiting the city once will make you swear to have more visits in the future.
