    Surprisingly, the answer in many cases is YES. And the main reason many foreigners find this hard to believe is because of this: The culture in the Philippines is radically different from Western cultures and very different rules apply. Wide relationship age gaps are simply not frowned upon in many Asian cultures. Age is respected (not dismissed) in many Asian cultures and older men are usually more financially & emotionally secure, and most Filipinas absolutely love that. Older foreigners can reliably supply the basics (food, shelter, entertainment etc…)
