It’s the 9,400 hectare New Clark City located in Capas, Tarlac. The Duterte administration had poured aggressive support and funding to finish the primary facilities before President Duterte finishes his term. This new metropolis is built with modern smart technology and greeneries are expected to dominate the landscape. Even the future buildings and skyscrapers will be built with green technology. It is also safe from flashfloods since it is located in a hilly area with gentle slopes and the average elevation is above 100 meters. Upon its completion, it is expected that the said city would be larger than Manhattan. Its location is strategic, because it is nestled in the heartland of Luzon. It is surrounded by Ilocos Region (via La Union and Pangasinan), Cordillera Adminitrative Region (via Baguio City and Benguet), Central Luzon (via the cities of Angeles, Olongapo and Subic; and the provinces of Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Zambales) and Metro Manila with a little distance further south. New Clark City would be the next big thing in the Philippines.

Davao City would suit as the next capital city of the Philippines. Here are the advantages. Davao is a first class highly urbanized city in the island of Mindanao. The city has a total land area of 2,443.61 km2 (943.48 sq mi), making it the largest city in the Philippines in terms of land area. It is the third most populous city in the Philippines after Quezon City and Manila, the most populous city in the country outside Metro Manila, and the most populous in Mindanao. It is geographically situated in the province of Davao del Sur and grouped under the province by the Philippine Statistic Authority, but the city is governed and administered independently from it. The city is divided into three congressional districts, which are subdivided into 11 administrative districts with a total of 182 barangays. Davao has all the facilities including malls, hospitals, condominiums, airports, parks, sport stadiums, etc. The construction of the railway between the north Tagum to the south of Davao, Digos will enhance the means of transportation in the entire province of Davao. Construction of the first phase of the P85-billion Mindanao Railway Project, which covers the Tagum-Davao-Digos segment, is targeted to start in January 2019 and operations expected by 2021. https://www.bworldonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Mindanao-Railway-System-012318.jpg
