What will be required for me to get a Philippine visa after August 9 to be with my wife and children when they go through a US Embassy interview? The approved quarantine facilities are another issue with this.

Well, you may be able to join your family but be aware that if you are not needed to serve as an interpreter you will most likely not be able to accompany your wife into her interview, rarely is the case. This is normally not allowed. If she makes it out and successfully gets a visa and green card you will have plenty of time to make travel arrangement back to the USA. I think you are allowed up to one full year but you might make an effort to verify that. My own wife has her interview date already and this is what I was told at our local US consulate. I need to make a correction to the above. It appears people are now only given until the expiration date of their medical exam, I guess the exam is only good, valid, or reliable for only 6 months so maybe then a person provided a new visa to the US would have a few days short of 6 months to get their butt over to the USA, If not the visa gets cancelled then it’s back to square one with new fees all over again.

I am assuming that you are a U.S. citizen. An American is automatically given a 30 day visa on arrival. If you plan to stay longer the penalty is $50 per month. Just pay the penalty 1 day before your flight for ease of travel. Congratulations. Filipinos and generally nice people with the worst government.
