What is the best way to receive my SSI in the Philippines? I will be moving to Bacoor Cavite or Subic Bay.

Some people open a local bank account here and transfer from their US bank account. You need the right kind of visa (non-tourist) to open a local bank account though. What works best for me is to have my pension money deposited into my US bank account. I then do ATM withdrawals as needed or if I need a larger sum of money, I use one of the wire services.

If you want it on time inform Social Security your going there. Find yourself a bank in the area. You will have to open direct deposit so you get your checks ontime.
