If you are a foreigner and you want a climate that is not so cold as that of USA and Europe, you can try Benguet and Cavite Provinces. In Benguet, you have the summer capital of the Philippines named Baguio. It will be near the 8th Wonder of the World called the Banaue Rice Terraces. If you have the money, you can buy a house & lot near the former USA military station named Camp John Hay & stroll thru its woods covered by pine trees. The clean air will rejuvenate your lungs as this is a fenced property so high that strangers cannot climb over its fences. In Cavite, we have a similar place there named Tagaytay City which is near our 2nd most active volcano called Taal Volcano. If you want an everyday bonding time with your family and/or guests you have an unlimited go to places to have picnics under the sun. Since it is near Silang where the best quality of coffee is being produced, you can buy a land in Tagaytay to produce cocoa beans that is now in demand because of the predicted dwindling of its supply from Africa. Foreign companies like Hershey’s, Cadbury Adams, Mars and Nestle are just waiting in the wings for the predicted boom of the chocolate industry in the Philippines.

I currently live in Dasmarinas Cavite, but I also lived in Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Lancaster City, as well as making visits to Batangas, Baugio, and Cagayan de Oro. Personally I have found that everyplace I have visited I have been welcomed by warm friendly people. All except Batangas. But that's a whole different story. Just remember you are their quest and treat your host with respect and you will receive the same respect back. Be careful of your surroundings and dont flash your cash. You will be ok where you go. Btw I been traveling to the Philippines since 2005 and retired here in 2018. I have had only one bad experience but it was because I kept my guard down and trusted a tricycle driver. So just be careful and you will be fine.
