Please briefly explain why you feel this question should be reported.
Given how many Filipinos work in China as domestic workers, would the Philippines be economically better off it they apply to become a province (or provinces) of China?

First, I would like to make correction on the statement “Filipinos working in China”. We can count Hong Kong as China but it is just a small city state with relative autonomy from mainland China. If you are going to get the few millions of Hong Kong population versus the few billions of Chinese on the face of the planet, I think the whole Philippines, expat and even our children’s children will not be enough to fill every Chinese home with Filipino household help. For the main question why we cant apply as China province to better our economy, it will be like punching on the moon. The two countries have entirely different political system, culture and history. Its like mixing oil with water. You can succeed in agitating it but it wont just combine. Anyway, the country economy is slowly but surely rising and even surpassing it’s Asian neighbors. It won’t be needing China or anyone else for help in any other way. Much of the population is not in favor of loans from China either.

Yes , become a province of China,Usa or any dam country that knows how to run government departments. In my humble opinion, the worst thing that happened to Ph was when the USA turned it over to Ph “management”, in 1946, exactly the same way that New Guinea should have stayed part of australia. The only success i can think of where a province broke away from its master to become a separate country is New Zealand in around mid 1800s became separate from Australia to become a brilliant country far superior in many ways to its master, Australia.
