I spent summers and holidays in Ormoc as a kid, this is where my grandparents lived. I can compare it to a small sleepy town in North America. It is perfect if you have a growing family, it is fairly safe with a few schools although not as good as the ones in Cebu. The main thing I can appreciate about Ormoc as a kid: how clean Ormoc City is and it is always so breezy. You can get to know your neighbors well and there is always that small town spirit of looking out for each other. It is without a doubt the most hospitable town. Food was always so fresh with it being a seaside town with many farms scattered throughout extending to the suburbs. If you enjoy that small town feel, you will love Ormoc. I don’t have a specific advice other than have an open mind and have a blast exploring Ormoc City and the burbs.

Well, it's a small City but quite peaceful. There's little in terms of night life but there are places where you can hang out. It's provincial and close to the sea (not a beach but just a shoreline). Anyways, in terms of advice there's nothing much to say. It's a small place but it has character and a great view of the sunset. It's a pretty cheap place to live. I say, have fun and look around.
