Is it better to move from Lebanon, Middle East permanently, and continue living in the Philippines if my wife is a Filipina?

Have you and your wife talked about this and agreed on something already? If not, let the 2 of you talk things out first. My hunch is, if your wife's family is upper middle class in the Philippines (they own their house, their relatives are employed, most of them are college educated, some family members own and run their business, etc), then you may consider staying with your family there in the Philippines for the next 3 to 5 years. Unfortunately, you have to consider the living needs and wants of yourself, your wife, your kids (if you got them now), plus your extended family members when you live in the Philippines. That's how things are done in the Philippines. But if you can always say no to your wife, then you probably can survive, or overcome challenges. I haven't checked much, but Lebanon and the Philippines have similar prospects in the future, seemingly. It's like living in countries that used to be progressive but has since then somewhat declined in certain terms. Although, things may be improving for the moment. If you and your wife's families have not been affected as much by such changes, then you may consider living in either Lebanon or the Philippines. But if your lifestyle won't improve or even decline, then you and your wife may just move somewhere else where you'll have better quality of lives being in love, in having sickness, good health together.
