The people in the Philippines are the nicest people in the world. The weather is warm. The beaches are amazing (outside of Manila Bay). Being an American, everybody speaks English too which is helpful. Love to go there when it is winter here. The cost of living is very low. You can get so much with your money. I got a hair cut for $1 and $1 tip. Dinner for 2 in the US is about $40. In the Philippines, for the same, its about $12.

There’s more to the Philippines than Manila alone. If you’ve just been in the capital, then it’s not sufficient to judge the country in its entirity. The Philippines have more than 7000 islands and each of them offer a unique experience, and a culture quite distinct in that province. From sights, to food, and even history, the Philippines have so much to offer. I feel sorry that people only see my country as a place to ‘find’ women and moreso judge Filipinas as gold diggers. Please do not generalize. There are a lot of decent Filipina women who are well brought up, educated, and empowered enough to work hard and spend for their wants and needs. Don’t find a ‘gf’ in the streets or in cheap bars. If you’re smart enough, you know the type you’ll find if you look in these places—and this applies not just in the PH but in all other countries too.
