It depends what part of the Philippines you are. My sister in law is married to a white man and she refuses to walk close to him when they are in a certain section of Angeles City for fear that she might look like a “puta” who just pick up a white guy (direct quote from her followed by a laughter from him)

No! Why should I be ashamed? White or black, I don’t have to. Especially if he is my husband or someone special, I will be proud. And not only with white men, whatever the color or race of a person we should not be ashamed being with them.
