I have lived a sheltered life in Canada and have never been outside the US or Canada. Would I be at a high risk of disease if I moved to the Philippines?

    You would need to get up to date imunizations , check travel advice from govt Canada etc before moving to tropical areas.

    I would check if there are any injections you need to visit that area, and if needed, get them, but apart from a chance of a dodgy stomach for a few days, I'd not be too concerned.
