For $200 per week you can live like a king in rural Philippines. That equates to 10k pesos, far more than most Filipinos earn.

It depends on the lifestyle you want. If I recall correctly I was paying 32,000 pesos per month ($931 at todays rates) just in rent for a 1 bedroom condo. 70 sqm metres. But it suited what I wanted. You can live like a king on $5,000 per month in the Philippines.
