How is it living in the Philippines? I’m also a Brit with a Filipino partner, we have built a house in Rizal but what to build one in the province too.

    Not bad. Have a Filipino partner. Get married. Have built a house in Rizal. Good. Want to build another house in a province. I suggest in a province within Luzon because your house in Rizal is in the island of Luzon. Up north or down south, Rizal is max 24 hours. Look at the map. North of Rizal is as far as ABRA province. Down south is Sorsogon province, so pick any of the two. Get advice from others. But wait, your partner you must consult. Where she came from? Province? If she is from Rizal, where your first house is located, then choice for the second house is in the island of Luzon. But if your partner is from Negros, build the second house there. But are you not guilty having two houses? And aftraid the taxman will wallop you with tax? Lately, the Pinas revenue guys are very efficient in collecting taxes.

    I am Australian with Filipino wife and have enjoyed great retirement in rural Mindanao for 8 years. You cant do better than rural Philippines
