U.S. $1,200 a month on the low end. If you want any life at all. Rent $50 a month for a small room with shared dirty kitchen outside. No A.C. $250 a month for a nice 1 bedroom with A.C. Up to $3,000 a month with swimming pool & 4 or 5 bedrooms. Food can you shop at the markets? $20 a month for 1 if you can eat like a native. Cook your own. Or If at the S&M. at the mall. If you need imported food. More than you spend in America now. Cloths in American sizes 2nd hand nice cloths are very cheap there. As tourist will leave cloths behind to take other home. But for a good life. $24,000 a year up. $100,000 a year up is not unheard of there if you have the right girl friend with you.

Am not sure, but I just would like to give you the difference between living in the city and the suburbs. Cebu City, spend about P20k on apartment neighboring towns, spend about P10k on apartment Food, you can cook or just buy P2k per grocery x 2 times a week Washing of clothes – buy a washing machine, or hire later a girl who will clean and do the laundry for you, when you find someone you can trust. I think those are the basics.
