As a foreigner, it strikes me as amazing how many senior provincial politicians have their families living in Manila NCR (or overseas), and they themselves spending 3 days a month in their provincial turf to sign documents and the remaining 27 days in Manila NCR and America (or other western countries). If Batangas provincial governor and all other senior Batangas politicians and senior Batangas civil servants spend at least 20 days a month in Batangas and most of their families actually living in Batangas (having a huge house in Batangas and then living in Quezon City Corinthian Gardens does not count) most of the time, except for college age children who need to venture out to the best universities for studies, Batangas will become developed within 10 years. Moral of the story. If the provincial leaders are not taking their own province seriously, i doubt the province will grow well.

It could be. The governor of the Province said that he’s pulling in Chinese investors which would invest heavily in the province.
