I had my pocket picked about a month ago. This is something that can happen anywhere there are tourists. This was not the first time someone has tried since I began traveling the world in 1985, but it was the first time they were successful. it was done with a well trained pair of little girls who were maybe 5 and 7, so well trained I didn’t realize it until they were long gone. I have seen such things in many countries including the US.

Personally (NO), I’ve never been a victim of crime in the Philippines.
