It is indeed a great project. No question! However, I hope this won’t be the last. Other potential cities that they could establish to decentralise Manila and reduce congestion could be: Luzon- BaguioBatangasRizalVisayas- Puerto PrincesaIloiloTacloban CityMindanao- ZamboangaBasilan(Impractical however not impossible)General Santos CityThe establishment of similar cities in these areas would spur economic growth in all regions and not only in Luzon island. On top of that I hope that the New Clark City would have a high capacity in terms of handling larger populations, cars and so on along with better transport links and a greener environment. Although such developments are nice I think they should also tend to potential cities such as Navotas-Malabon which could also give us a great economy as similar to Haifa of Israel the redevelopment of these areas may attract investors interested in coastal cities with waterparks and at the same time ship manufacturing factories. I really hope this project proceeds but they should make sure there are enough bridges and highways connecting us to that city or else this project is doomed to fail.

My concern is that this is a big project and a project that may get delayed due changes economic issues that will arise before the building is complete. Basically a downturn in the global economy could cause the development project to be frozen. If that does happen, it may be years later that the project could start. Personally, I love the concept and I would like a new city such as this being built in Luzon.
