Filipinos honestly do not care. As long as they have the necessary documentation and requirements for being here in the Philippines and that should be fine. Except in cases where they post complaints/rants on social media about how poor the country is and how things don’t work here and how slow services are and or how bad the traffic is and especially with no apparent politeness or humility to it then that’s the time Filipino netizens would show their wrath to anybody not specifically a group or type of people. As what they say when in PI do as Pinoys do.

I don’t know about other Filipinos, but if I were to move back to the Philippines, my family would be ecstatic. My friends would be happy, too. Each time I visit the Philippines, which is often, I am often asked, “Why don’t you retire here so we can see more of you. This is a better place for seniors to live in.” And it has nothing to do with what benefits they receive from me. I don’t bring lavish gifts or loads of pasalubongs – just tokens. And when we go out, they either treat me (most of the time) or I do treat them, or we go dutch. Filipinos will always be Filipinos in heart, even if they acquire citizenship from another country. That’s how I feel and most Filipinos do. Whenever any one of us has a plan to visit the Philippines, we don’t ask “When are you visiting the Philippines.” We ask “When are you going home?” (Kailan ka uuwi?) So going “home” is in a Filipino’s heart.
