Agreed with some of those above, but the biggest, fastest, easiest win is to move somewhere with a low cost-of-living, while continuing to earn your income from somewhere with a higher-valued currency like the US, UK, Australia, etc. Online business is the key here, any freelance work you can do remotely/virtually, or say run a full on team/organization remotely. I call this the digital nomad lifestyle. I've kept myself in quite comfortable/luxurious surroundings and lived like a rockstar in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Bali, and the Philippines now for less than $1500–2000/month. The kind of living that would likely cost me at least $5K/month or much more back home in even suburban California. Comfort and luxury are completely different entities. It is probably the distinction between these two that will make your life good and comfortable, without having to spend too much.:-)
