I live in the Diliman area near the AFP military hospital along V. Luna Avenue. It is near Kalayaan and East Avenues but you can search around the Quezon Memorial Circle for related areas (please refer to a map for the locations). The area is elevated and all the drainage and sewers in the side streets have been repaired and upgraded by the city government in the last five years. Government offices and major shopping malls are scattered nearby and are surrounded by various residential bungalows, townhouses, and newly built high-rise apartments. It is an area with multiple main highways and alternate side streets to any other location in the metropolis so there might be traffic jams during the weekday morning and evening "crush hours" but traffic flows freely or quickly the rest of the time. Train stations, bus routes, and jeepney routes crisscross the area. The place abounds with major hospitals, fire stations, and police substations so emergency response and peace and order is not a problem. The rent can be high and the availability of houses or apartments/condominiums for sale or rent might be difficult but you should persevere in your search if you can afford the rent or purchase price. Finding good schools won't be a problem, from pre-school all the way to the country's best high schools and universities which are just a few kilometers away. It's near various shopping and entertainment areas and has lots of greenery. If you select an area farther away from Diliman, be prepared to spend up to a half-hour or two hours in your daily commute to any other location in the metropolis aside from a reduction in the level of comfort (e.g., more pollution, flooding, slums, less beauty, less safety). Good luck, in your search. Contact me privately and I can probably give you more localized tips.

What do you mean by right? But if you’re considering the best or at least good, choose gated communities which are often villages, town houses or condominium buildings. Most of them also offer amenities other than security such as a gym, pool, park, garbage disposal, parking (may vary), and utility management (electricity, water and sometimes even gas). Most commercial and public services such as transportation, hospitals, grocery or markets, government hospitals and more are also often closeby.
