Im currently dating a girl who lives in the Philippine province, I really like her. I feel she has a very low self confidence and I would like to know if there’s anything I can do to make her feel happier about her self?

Okay, female former military. The concept of mail order brides is alive and well in Russia, the Philippines and other places. Both of the named places have many criminal organizations that catfish men for money. First, did you actually MEET IN PERSON? I found out my brother was writing to a girl from the Philippines from a magazine targeted at Navy guys. This personal ad led to a couple of letters, then a floated problem that could be addressed for not a lot if US dollars. He sent it and a month later another problem. Could he come visit and no he was saving for the trip. Then two months later an even more expensive situation. I told him I would pay for the ticket if I was wrong and told him to write her and tell her he had the money and could leave in two weeks. He never heard from her again. Now I had a wonderful friend: Attractive, funny, smart. My marriage had crashed and burned and I wasn't emotionally available, but I formed a strong sister like bond. He had married a girl he met in the Philippines. He was that thing I admired most: Faithful. My friends would hit on him without success and rebuffed in the kindest way. Supposedly she had problems getting over to join him, for two years. No. Turns out he was never legally married, because she already was. Many senior NCO's who retired were targeted in about every base I was near. A woman who was already married would bring in a new friend and match them up to someone. Usually women in their late 30's or 40's. The I don't have a lot of self confidence while sending the picture of a pretty girl who looked shy was a common hook to get you involved. The Las Vegas shooter was married and divorced to one.

well as a person with low self confidence what kinda helped me out when I was with my ex was that they complmented me a lot and, that really helped me feel better about myself. As well I would also talk about why I had a low self confidence so, I suggest finding a way to make her open up about why she has a low self confidence without being offensive, maybe talking about times you had a low self confidence. Just make sure you understand her, then find ways to build up her self confidence but, remember that she has to grow her own confidence and not completely rely on you. btw sorry for my punctuation
