Pagadian is a city situated next to hills and mountains so you can expect a lot of steep areas. Live in an elevated place to avoid flood since the flat areas of the city usually get flooded.Be wise but reasonable when giving fares. The fare varies depending on the distance, the number of passengers, and your negotiation with the driver. Base fare is 10. And then it goes up to 15 and then 20 etc etc. Fare going to the centre is cheaper since there are a lot of possible passengers there than when you are going away from the centre since they also try to consider the number of passengers they can get by going there or the trip back to the centre. The best thing living in Pagadian is that it's not affected by typhoons that passes by the country (considering how many typhoon the Philippines has to go through every year). But the weather is sometimes unpredictable and the rain here is quite long so it's better to have an umbrella ready.

It's nice to live in Pagadian City. Although It's not really highly urbanized place but you can have the food in a cheapest price. Make adjustments about the people around you especially their cultures and traditions. It doesn't matter what place you live in, what matters most is on how you deal with the other people that surrounds you.
