    I’m a U.S. citizen moving to the Philippines. What are some of the issues I need to prepare for like getting mail, IRS etc.? As for the IRS, please do have a USA tax accountant ready and willing to help you file your tax returns, FBAR and also compliance with FATCA. Most USA tax accountants in USA will be happy to do it online. Be ware that the costs to do it are not going to be cheap. We left when we had green cards and each year cost us about $500. If we needed to pay taxes this would be even more. Please read up on FATCA and FBAR before you go. USA government can really screw up your life for good for the smallest mistake. Better to be know what to do and what not to do beforehand.
