That depends on which you prioritize to have. A nice place to live, to have a good paying job or to have both? For the best city to live, which one do you prefer, a place colder than the rest of the country, a peaceful place, i mean not too populated, a place near beaches or more of a city life? For City living the best place is around Metro Manila, like Makati City, Quezon City, Pasig City, Pasay City and the City of Manila. And also, it is in Metro Manila where you can get high paying jobs. If you don’t like the hot weather, you can try Baguio City or in Tagaytay City which are two of the coldest places in the country. You love the beach, then you can stay in the southern part like Cebu or in Palawan, Bataan, Zambales and of course Boracay. Cities outside Metro Manila are more of a countryside living, peaceful, clean fresh air, less populated. But the chance of getting a good high paying job is lesser. So you better weigh your options. If which matters most to you.

It depends. Are you young, wild and free? If so, the bustling city of Manila is the best place for you. There are so many things to do and people to meet! Any of the bigger cities are also good. Cebu and Davao come to mind. The dialect is bisaya though, but they speak English too. If you want to settle down, want the conveniences of the big city but not the high standard of living and the stressful lifestyle, then the smaller cities sound good. Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, and Iloilo, for example. Or Batangas. If you are a nature lover and enjoy the cool weather, there is Baguio and Tagaytay. Cebu has many nearby beaches, mountains and nature trails. It’s near Bohol too. These are only the cities I am familiar with. I am sure there are other good ones. The Philippines is an underrated country to live in. Once adjusted, it is not bad at all!
